Friday July 13th, 1936 - Friday February 13th, 2009 On February 21st 2009 we said farewell to our super-human friend SPIDER. A pioneer of every fringe scene, from traveling to the U.S. in the 50's to bring more Blues and Jazz records back to Toronto, Beatnik, Hippie, to then founding one of the most well known punk festivals on earth...PUNKFEST. Spider has always been a social butterfly and this was shown through the outpouring of support from 1000's of friends, supporting each other and collectively raising enough money (in 5 days), to pay for all the funeral arrangements and costs. Punks continue to hold shows and we will also still take donations to help pay for Spider's headstone. Thank you all for your support. JULY 11 2009 will be the date of the interment. Family will return from the U.S. to join us in a ceremony and another great celebration of Spider's life. For those of you who could not make it to the funeral this is a great opportunity to pay your last respects. Details will be posted here when available so look forward to seeing each other again.
